About this event

The Sustainable Southwest Beef Project invites you to attend an On-Ranch Demonstration to learn more about novel strategies for sustainable beef production in the Southwest.

This is an opportunity to see and ask questions about heritage Raramuri Criollo cattle and technologies for ranch management such as on-tank water-level sensors, remotely monitored rain gauges, and real-time GPS cattle location collars. Additional presentations about grazing, supply chain tradeoffs, and more (see agenda below).

The event is free to attend, however we do require registration so we can know how much food to provide for lunch!

A printable agenda as well as a safety and travel information packet can be found on the following website: https://southwestbeef.org/events/upcoming-events/

Getting there: we'll be in touch with directions to the ranch after you've registered.

Flying in: The closest commercial airport is San Diego International Airport, a little over an hour away from the ranch.

Accommodations: We've been advised that Viejas Resort & Casino may be the closest option for accommodations, however you are encouraged to stay wherever you wish. There have been no rooms contracted or blocked off at any hotel in the area.
